JOIN A COMPANY UNDERGOING A MAJOR TRANSFORMATION
Reporting to the Deputy Logistics Director, we are hiring a Logistics Department Chief to help manage the company’s logistics operations in a demanding, operational, and multi-site environment.
Post based at : MAHAJANGA
YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Organize and coordinate supplies for the various sites.
- Oversee maritime and land transportation operations.
- Manage operations related to coastal shipping, transit, customs, storage, warehousing, docks, and cargo handling.
- Ensure the reliability of stock levels, inventory, and the traceability of material flows.
- Establish and monitor logistics performance metrics.
- Supervise the operational teams responsible for procurement, transit, warehousing, loading docks, and material handling.
REQUIRED PROFILE
- Master’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain
- Management, International Transportation, or an equivalent field.
- At least 10 years of experience in logistics, transportation, transit, or supply chain.
- Significant experience in a multi-site
environment. - Proven experience in maritime transport, coastal shipping, maritime fleets, barges, or watercraft.
- Proven experience in managing operational teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, advanced-level
- Excel, ERP, WMS, and logistics tracking tools.
- Class A and B driver’s licenses required;professional-level English
- A boat license or professional boating experience is highly preferred.
