For a bank in Madagascar, we are recruiting a commercial director
Duty station : Antananarivo – Madagascar
MISSIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the supervision of the Managing Director, he/she will be responsible for defining the Bank’s commercial strategy, developing business activities, and leading, managing, and motivating the commercial team as well as the branches. His/her main responsibilities are as follows:
· Commercial Strategy
– Define the commercial action plan clearly and precisely.
– Monitor and analyze commercial performance indicators.
– Establish the operating budget for the commercial department in line with the objectives set by the Board of Directors.
– Execute and implement the budget and strategy.
– Ensure reporting and develop relevant dashboards.
– Represent the Bank externally with strategic clients.
· Business Development
– Adjust the initially developed commercial action plan with general management if necessary and propose optimization opportunities.
– Manage relationships with strategic partners and/or the company’s key accounts.
– Negotiate commercial agreements directly.
– Visit and prospect clients in the field.
– Handle commercial disputes with clients, suppliers, or distributors.
– In collaboration with the communication department, increase the Bank’s visibility and promote its image.
– In collaboration with the marketing department, identify and analyze market trends and the Bank’s positioning in the Market.
· Team Leadership and Motivation
– Lead, motivate, and unite teams around a shared commercial strategy.
– Organize and coordinate the commercial activities of team members.
– Evaluate individual performance through regular appraisals.
– Support the development of team members’ skills.
– Participate in recruiting new hires for the commercial department.
PROFILE
· Holder of a Master’s degree or an Engineering diploma in Management, Administration, Marketing, or a related field
· Proven success with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role
· Strong knowledge of the financial sector
· Solid management and leadership skills
· Proficiency in project management techniques
· Excellent organizational and time management skills
· Ability to handle multiple priorities and tight deadlines
· Strong communication and negotiation skills
· Competence in financial and accounting analysis
· Rigor and attention to detail
· Field-oriented professional with strong autonomy and tenacity
· Proactive and persuasive
· Dynamic and responsive
· Strong negotiation skills
· Fluent in French and English
· Ability to work effectively under result-driven pressure
