For a bank in Madagascar, we are recruiting an Independent Administrator
Duty station: Antananarivo-Madagascar
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Board of Directors, he/she will be responsible for :
Overseeing the management of the Bank’s affairs, monitoring its strategic direction, risk appetite, culture, standards of conduct and organizational structure, and participating in the oversight of the Bank’s governance. Its main responsibilities are :
Supervision and control: review and approve the Bank’s strategy, business plans, budgets, risk management policies, commercial policy and strategic initiatives; monitor the Bank’s financial and operational performance, growth objectives and profitability criteria;
Risk management and compliance: ensure that effective governance practices are in place, in line with national and international regulatory requirements and Group policies. Ensure the integrity of financial information and internal control systems, and guarantee rigorous risk management;
Independence and ethics: maintain a position of independence, guarantee ethics and transparency in decision-making processes, protect the interests of shareholders and ensure that decisions are taken in the general interest and in strict compliance with the policies and procedures in force within the Group and the Bank;
Strategy and development: provide external and independent expertise in defining the Bank’s strategy, participate in the analysis and evaluation of growth opportunities, support the Bank’s general management in managing relations and other affairs with all relevant stakeholders.
PROFILE
BACC +5 in finance, management, law or equivalent;
At least 10 years’ experience in management positions in banking, finance, insurance, chartered accountancy, auditing, financial system regulation, fintech, telecoms and/or a related, highly regulated sector;
Significant experience in a similar position;
Mastery of corporate governance practices;
Perfect command of French and English. Knowledge of Malagasy would be an asset;
Sound knowledge of banking regulations and practices;
Solid knowledge of the Malagasy public, private and economic sectors.

Sense of ethics and integrity;
Availability and commitment to the responsibilities of the position
